One summer, I had the opportunity to go to Kodaikanal for about a week. We stayed in a hotel, which was within walking distance from the lake. On the full moon day, my father hired a boat for two hours. It was quite spacious though not very big. All of us my father, mother, sister and myself, got into the boat. It was dusk. The sun had just set. The scenery was very beautiful. There were many boats in the lake. I wanted to row but my father was afraid to let me do that. The boatman came to help. I sat in the place of the boatman and enjoyed rowing for almost ten minutes. Imagine my thrill and pride when I was able to row the boat and keep it on course. Soon, the moon was shining brightly. The lights of the nearby houses and of the bridge through ,beam of silver in the sea. The sky was studded with stars. The view was breath taking by beautiful. Time flew off very soon. The two hours got over. The batman brought us back to the shore. We enjoyed every single minute of the boat ride. It was really wonderful. The memory still mesmerizes me.

One fine evening I and two of my friends Nithyasri and Tharush decided to go on a boat ride in our nearby lake. The boat belonged to a fisher man who went to drink some water. We decided to proceed on our trip without him. Naughty boy Tharush pulled a rope in the boat and it started to move fast in the lake. We got scared and shouted for help. On hearing the noise the boatman came to our boat with help of his friend’s boat and saved us. He advised us not to ride the boat without any adult and told us to wear life jacket for any boat ride.

Once upon a time, on a summer day I and my friends planned to go for a boat ride in the nearby lake. We got the permission for the boat ride. We went to the boat man and asked him, the boat man asked us to give 25 rupees for each. We gave him the money. He wanted to know which boat, we wanted to ride. We pointed to a red boat with a motor, The boat man went to get the change. One of my friends was so naughty, that he untied the boat and told us to get into it. He told us that he knows to control the boat. We believed him. The boat man shouted, that there was no fuel in the motor. By the time, we were in the centre of the lake. The boat began to sink, we shouted for help and the boat man came in another boat and took us to the land. We thanked the boat man and my friend felt guilty.

One breezy morning! I and my friends went for a boat ride. It was amazing and adventurous. The water was bluish and wavering. The sky too was blue ad elegant. The fishes and dolphins were swimming through the waves. The water was surrounded by beautiful ever green trees that swayed along with the breeze. The birds were chirping joyfully in the blue sky. We shared jokes and other experiences among us. It was an exciting and memorable ride.
