A MOMENT IN YOUR GRANDPARENTS LIFE……

“Fifteen years back, on a very normal sunny day, when the busy world kept running on its wheels as usual, me and my son stood tensely outside the ICU. A few minutes later, my daughter in law gave birth to a little girl” These were the lines that my granny used to say when I asked her to describe any one of her favourite moments in her life.

She was known for her stringent behavior and discipline in the neighbourhood, yet she never let her serious character affect the love she had for us. I spent all my childhood with her, as my parents were busy building a secure life for us. She took care and let us learn lessons for life in our own way. Though she put up some rules to be followed, she never restricted us. I became matured and grew into a smart teen, but she is becoming aged and weak.

Now, I live with my parents and she lives in her own home in the same neighbourhood.

Every weekend, I make it a point to visit my granny. My eyes always perceive her as that bold, fit, smart and sweet lady who groomed me and my morals into a good shape.

My life is all about my family. I love my grandparents a lot. Even I call my grandma as ‘AMMA’. She means a lot to me. My living inspiration is my grandma. No need to search an inspiration outside. Life is all about ups and downs, but she faced only downs in her childhood. A moment which I can never forget in my life, is her 80^th birthday, we had a simple cake cutting ceremony and my father presented a gold jewel to her. According to me this is a part of happiness, but she took this as a surprise in her life. Every individual thinks about themselves including me but she thinks about our family. My wish is to make her happy. I have only grandma, but I never missed my grandpa because she did not make us feel the absence of my grandpa. Most of my friends think grandparents are hindrance to the family. But I think they are the God in my family. My mother gave me birth but it is my grandma, who made me understand how it is to have a noble heart.
