ANXIETY

Anxiety, though you’re naughty,

I appreciate your beauty.

You come into our life in a flash

And do not go without making us crash

All that time you’re inside us,

You create such a fuss

Make us do things we regret,

Make us want to forget;

All the terrible decisions we’ve made

And all the pain that you gave

You make us shut everyone out

And make us wanna scream out loud

I’m sure you’ve never left anyone without causing pain

We don’t sense you when you’re around,

You make us want to fall to the ground

But at the end of the day, I see it

I see what you teach us

I see the value of the people in my life

I learn from all the sadness and tears

That the truest will be with me for years

So thank you, anxiety

For stepping into my life out of the blue

Only to teach me to fight back stronger than never before

When you left.
