MOBILE ADDICTION

Gadgets have taken over today’s generation and their thinking ability. Previously, the invention of computer was such a big success and one who had computers were considered as rich people. Slowly, the evolution of computers paved way for laptops. Slowly, everything was changed to much smaller screen i.e., mobile phones.   Even though laptops and computers are still in use, mobile phones have gained a lot more response.

Mobile phones help us in many ways. They are:

  • Communicating with people who are far off.
  • Knowing and gaining better knowledge from the different Apps.
  • To find out the location where you are residing and to find out a way from any place.
  • We can order food online and many other things can be purchased i.e., in short, “ONLINE SHOPPING”
  • We can find out the day to day happenings, weather forecast, daily news and so on…

Even though, Mobile phones have a lot of advantages, it influences people in such a way that they are addicted to it and never get obsessed with it.

Social media influences a lot of people which is one of the reasons for Mobile Addiction. Social media has its own advantages and disadvantages.Sometimes it makes people to connect with unknown people, which is a main disadvantage because some people misuse it.

Gaming through the phones have become much popular. People get addicted to the games and some even are on the verge of getting mentally stressed.

Some misuse their mobile phones and some hack other phones and leak out the secrets from the other person’s phone. They are called hackers, who sometimes send viruses to the other person’s phone. Even though, hacking has some advantages, people misuse it to a greater extent.

To conclude Mobile phones are useful and dangerous both at the same time.

In this fast age, Mobile phones are necessary but it should not rule us. We are now school students and have a long way to possess a smart phone. Now it has become a trend of having our own smart phones which is the real cause for distraction.

Social media is a devil which conquers our mind. We are in a situation where we can’t live without those demons (Social media). We all know that being on the phone, which has become our ‘companion’ for life is quite exhausting and not so good for our health from the health point of view.Being on our phone all day can cause damage to our eyes, sprain our neck as we are always slouched with a phone in hand. The people whom we meet on the social media are not our real friends. Please stay away from social media!

Use phones only for relaxation!

You can have phone

But phone can’t have you!

The present generation is filled with gadgets and devices. One of the most important and dangerous gadgets is the mobile phone. It is very difficult to see a person without mobile. People are constantly on the mobile which leads to various physical and emotional problems. Mobile addiction is a major problem faced by our youngsters. They have to overcome it as early as possible. The addiction over social media, online games makes us inactive in our daily life. This causes social problems too. Mobile phones are invented to make our life easy but now it is ruling us. Getting addicted to games like COC, PUBG, and Blue Whale make students to deviate from their studies. So, we as youngsters, should use mobiles only in an emergency. Mobiles are there to help us, not to put us in a helpless situation where we will be left with a mobile alone and nothing else.

Youngsters in this generation are called mobile addictors. Mobiles, now-a-days, are defined as dangerous weapons. It makes the people to live an empty life where they don’t have time to spend with their loved ones. People forget to share their emotions and feelings with others due to the invention of mobiles. All the people in the world are addicted to some apps in the mobile. For eg., PBG, Whatsapp, Instagram and so on. All are physically in connection with each other but their mental presence is always towards phone. Usage of mobile leads to stress, depression, etc. Now-a days mobiles are more dangerous than drugs. Once people start using the mobile, they get into an imaginary world forgetting the things happening around them. Long back, mobile was used only for ringing up someone who is far away from you but now-a-days it is used to ring up someone who is just near you. Thus, using mobile becomes an addiction. Hence it is better to avoid it and create time to spend with our  dear ones.

Mobile addiction ornomophobia is the fear of being without cell phones. It is an evil which currently prevails in today’s world and equally affects everyone. All genders are affected both physically and mentally. It affects the health of the people in many ways like memory, concentration, eye sight and so on. It affects the brain development of the adults below the age of 25. The mobile addiction includes social media addiction to website and from the website to gambling. Finally addiction to substance and the webchain goes on. Day by day this addiction keeps spreading. The social networks have not only shrunken the text messaging system, but also all the interpersonal relationships with family, surroundings and even with the Almighty too. Not only adults, almost all the people have been drowned into an artificial feeling.

I call this “Artificial” because, in this artificial feeling, a person from one side sends a happy text through a social media and the other replies with a smiley emoji. “There is no eye to eye interaction and no heart to heart feelings”. These social media and network might connect us to an unknown person from any other part of the world digitally but not with their real feelings. It might connect us with people at far distances but actually it disconnects the link with people who are close to our heart. Now a days, people travelling in public transport never see the face of the other person travelling with them. They would instead send a smiley face in  social media. Actually people have adopted the new culture of expressions through emoji and have lost expression on their faces. So friends! Please wake up, spend quality time with your family and surroundings through direct interaction. Donot get struck in this whirl wind which sucks us inside. If struck, “Wake up atleast now and try your best to come out of it”.

“Because change doesn’t come from outside. It comes from within”.

The mobile phone is one of the greatest inventions in the 20th century. We cannot imagine how our life would be without the mobile phone. It is an obvious truth that the mobile phone gives us benefits in some aspects of life. Using mobile phone can provide us with a lot of functions like relaxing with music, chatting or playing games. The usage of mobile phones by the youth is increasing day by day. The youth are becoming addicted in using the mobile phone. They cannot stay away from their phones even for a minute. Perhaps, because of the benefits of the mobile phones, most people do not realize lots of negative effects that the mobile phone cause in our life.

Moreover, the excessive use of mobile phones causes teens and young adults to experience restlessness and it can make them feel difficult to fall asleep. It is an obvious fact that using mobile phone too much can affect our brain and damage our ears. People use mobile phones in every place, every time to manage their business. They talk over the cell phone while working, even when they are on the road. This causes lot of accidents on the road while driving. It alsoadds to the cost of recharging every month. Usage of mobile phone also causes neck problems, eye strains and lack of interest in other activities and hesitating to interact with people. They become angry, tensed and irritated when mobile phone network is low or battery is low. The mobile phone addiction cannot be easily treated. Some of the steps to overcome this is you have to set time for the usage of phone. You can even switch off your mobile phone when it is not needed and we should interact with the family, friends and  relatives. We have to remove the excess apps which disturbs us to use the phone. “Prevention is better than cure”.So, in the initial stage itself, we should be careful and curtail the usage of the mobile phone. We need to care about our future, education and family.

Mobile was invented for the advantage of people. But now it has become an addiction and has led to destruction. Now, everyone has a mobile. Years ago, it was used for talking only but now with the help of technology, mobiles have taken over precedence to everything else. This is having an ill-effect on the people especially children and the younger generation.

With the introduction of many appsand added features, mobiles have captured the attention of many youngsters and it has become worst in case of the students. Many games have been invented and now even small children are using them. Because of this addiction, they miss out their daily activities such as studies, food and other routine. This stops them from getting good marks. Elders must take preventive measures to distract children and youngsters from using mobile phones.

Apart from using the phone, only for games and other unwanted things, it must be used for good purpose. So addiction can be avoided and slowly  wean awayfrom using mobile. By reading more books, we can enrich our knowledge which will be the only way of getting rid of addiction.
