A good leader has an exemplary character and is trust worthy to lead others. A leader needs to be trust worthy and must live his life with honesty and integrity. Trust authority is learnt from respect for the good character and trust worthiness of the person who leads. A good leader is enthusiastic about his work or cause and also about his role as a leader. People will respond more openly to a person of passion and dedication. A leader must be a source of inspiration and a motivator towards the required action or cause. Although the responsibilities and role of a leader needs to be seen he must also be a part of the team working towards the goal. A good leader is committed to excellence. Second best does not lead to success. The good leader not only maintains high standards but also is proactivein raising the bar in order to achieve excellence in all areas.
