From the days I remember, every year, 1st January is considered as the happiest day of my life. Because on this day, my uncle took a decision to serve the needy. Precisely, from 2011 to till this year, on every 1st of January, either I go to an old age home or an orphanage and render services to them. I visit these places with my small deeds like gifting them a meal or buying them new clothes or providing the kids with some stationaries, obviously with the help of my parents. I can see the happiness and gratitude which makes me immediately satisfied. Receiving blessings from the elders and a hearty handshake from the children makes the day really a happiest and cherished one.

The happiest day of my life is when my Father took us to a trip to Pant Nagar, Uttarkhand. We stayed in a hotel called ‘Rosewood’. Every day, my mother and I would wake up late in the morning. We would brush our teeth and go down for breakfast. We had a friend, who came from Jharkhand. Every day she came with us, to eat breakfast. I and my mother would go out to buy vegetables for the lunch. My mother would cook some tasty lunch for me. By evening, my father would come to our room and order something for dinner. Then, we went to a hill station called ‘Nainital’. I ate some tasty noodles and went boating there. It was a lovely day for me. From there went to Delhi. We saw the Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhavan. The next day we came back to Chennai.

One day we planned to go to a trip in boat. Our family, grandma, grandpa and uncle’s family went to Egmore railway station. The train came one hour late. We sat in our seats, after sometime, I remembered that it was my mother’s birthday. I planned with my relatives to do something special. I told my father to tie her eyes with black cloth. I and my sister planned to make a greeting card. I told my grandparents to sing the birthday song. I told my uncle and aunt to design the cake we had already brought. Then we arranged everything and my mother cut the cake. It was the happiest moment in my life.
