During the summer vacation, I went to my grandmother’s native village near Kumbakonam. On the first day itself I was impressed to see the village because it was full of greenery and the people were so friendly. The air was so fresh and pollution free. The village was full of trees and fertile lands and the main source of employment was agriculture. It was refreshing to see green fields. People were hardworking and very helpful. They took care and protected their environment without causing any harm to them. I saw lots of beautiful birds and animals there and all the people lived in peace. I also happened to attend the local village festival, which the people celebrated happily. I thanked them and went back to city.

Once upon a time I got a chance to visit my village (Komalapur) with my family. I was really anxious to see my village. When I entered my village, I was able to see most of the houses were made of mud and rice pods. The people of my village looked very simple. Many people of my village were farmers, and, they were hard workers. My village roads were narrow but it was very clean. In my village most of the people use bullock carts to travel from one place to another place. I loved my village. I enjoyed a lot during my village trip. Village life is very simple and peaceful.
