MY VISIT TO A VILLAGE

My native is Paramakurichi. I love my village very much. Every year, I spend my summer vacation in my native place. It is nearly six hours journey from Chennai. Last summer, I enjoyed very much with my family.

The morning scene of the village, is really, an experience to remember. Unlike most city folks, the villagers get up very early in the morning and start their daily chores.

Since it does not have lots of traffic like we have in cities, the air is pure and fresh and we have so much place to play around. During the vacation,   my cousins used to come down to our home and we used to have lots of fun and playing around. The village has so many beautiful places and is very quiet and calm.  During my stay at the village, my friends taught me many games, which I didn’t know earlier. We also played swing, in the roots of the banyan tree.  I enjoyed the natural swing. My father took me to the river side to take a bath. The water was very clean and chill. I played with my father in the water for some time. I enjoyed my stay out, in the village with my family with many activities and trips. I realized, that during this stay at my native, I had neither watched television nor played video games. I felt sad, while saying goodbye, to my grandparents and cousins. My dad assured me that, we would visit again in the next vacation. I am eagerly waiting for my next vacation.

The name of our village is Vaniyamgudi in Sivagangai district. I visit my village every year during my vacation. The scenic beauty of the village is quiet beautiful to watch. There are ponds and green fields alongside the roads. Even the paddy fields, on either side of the muddy road is covered with green crops. We can see the farmers ploughing their fields. While walking down the village muddy road, one can hear different birds singing among the big trees. The sweet voice of the cuckoo is the most enchanting one to hear, early in the morning. The cool air, the calmness and the moon filling up the entire village with light during the night is a wonderful  experience to see.

Hello!! Today, I am going to tell you about my visit to a village. It was my during my summer holidays. I went to a village in Andhra Pradesh. Wow, what a holiday it was!! My father planned to take me to a village to experience the village atmosphere. I was so excited to see the village. So, the next morning, we got ready to Ananthagiri. It is a small village, in the outskirts of Hyderabad. We went by car. We saw many flowers like lavender and colourful roses in the garden. It was so awesome!! Then, we saw a poultry farm, guava, mango trees, cotton and corn fields. We took some photographs. It was a memorable trip for me. It was my first visit to a village and it will stay in my memory forever.

In my third standard annual leave, I went to ‘Tirunelveli’ to my grandmother’s house. When I was going in the train, I saw many sunflower plants, rice and wheat crops in the fields. In the Tirunelveli station, my mother bought me a Halwa packet.` The station was very busy. We took an auto and went to my grandmother’s house. My grandmother’s house was filled with many rose plants. She has a pet cat called ‘Ammu’. As soon as my mother saw the cat, she told me that she named the cat as ‘Ammu’ when I was two years old, and I used to sit on the cat and play. I was shocked to hear that. ‘Is that Mom?’ I asked. ‘Yes dear’, she said. The next day, we went the river, ‘Thamirabarani’ ,near my grandma’s house. That was the first time, I got into the river. When I kept my legs inside, the fishes passed through my legs. I also loved fishing. We changed our clothes and took photos and went home.

The next day we took a bus to our house to Chennai. I said about the trip to Tirunleveli to my friends.
