HERITAGE CLUB
OBJECTIVES
- The Heritage club will regard students as active seekers of knowledge by throwing light on the multiplicity of History and cultural experiences which exist in India. It will attempt to whet the students’ appetite for history.
- To bring History/Social Science curriculum alive for the students through active learning and doing.
- To promote awareness and involvement in Heritage, to inculcate respect for diversity, tolerance, mutual understanding, patience and promote peaceful co-existence in our children.
- To inspire young children and encourage them to build a future through and understanding of the past and the present.
- To equip the children to understand and explore their local heritage and gain a confident sense of self.
- To encourage the children to learn about national heritage as well as gain exposure to different heritage around the country
- The club will enable students to learn through discussions, class presentations, project work, share their knowledge through interactive sessions on Indian history and culture and reflect upon our society.

வீரமாமுனிவர் தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றம்

எனத் தமிழின் சிறப்பை பறைசாற்றிய பாரதிதாசனின் வாய்மொழிக்கேற்ப தொன்மை, தனித்தன்மை, மொழிகளின் தாய், சொல்வளம், இலக்கியவளம், சிந்தனைவளம், கலைவளம், பண்பாட்டுவளம் ஆகியவற்றைப் பெற்ற பன்னாட்டு மொழியாக விளங்கும் தன்மையைப் பெற்று செவ்வியல் மொழியாக திகழும் நம் தமிழ்மொழியை அலங்கரிக்க ஓவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் எங்கள் வீரமாமுனிவர் தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றம் கடமைப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தமிழ் மொழியால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு தமிழராய் மலர்ந்து மணம் பரப்பி என்றும் தமிழுலகில் அழியாப் புகழ் பெற்று “தமிழ் மாணவன்” என்று தன்னை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு பேஸ்பின் வழி வந்தவர் நம் வீரமாமுனிவர். இத்தாலி நாட்டிலிருந்து வந்து இனிய தமிழைக் கற்றுத் தேர்ந்து இலக்கண இலக்கிய நூல்களும் அகராதியும் இயற்றித் தமிழ்த் தாய்க்குத் தொண்டு புரிந்த ” கொன்ஸ்டான் ஜோஸப் பெஸ்கி” என்ற வீரமாமுனிவர் எனத் தமிழாக்கிக் கொண்ட பெருந்தகைக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தும் வகையில் அம் மாமுனிவர் பெயரில் இவ்விலக்கிய மன்றம் பல்லாண்டுகாலமாக தனது பணியைச் செவ்வனே செயல் படுத்திக் கொண்டு வருகிறது
வழக்கம் போல் இவ்வாண்டும் நம்மாணவர்கள் உற்சாகத்தோடு அஞ்சாநெஞ்சினராய் சவால்களைச் சந்தித்து வெற்றி காண வேண்டும் எனும் நோக்கில் பல்வேறு பள்ளிகளிலும் வெளியிடங்களிலும் பல அமைப்புகளின் சார்பிலும் நடத்தப்பட்ட போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொண்டு பெற்ற சிறப்புகள் போற்றுதற்குரியது. தாய் தன் குழந்தைக்கு முதல் ஆசிரியராய் வெளியுலக அனுபவங்களை அறிந்து கொள்ள பயிற்சி அளிப்பது போல இம்மன்றம் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஆளுமைத் திறன், நடிப்புத் திறன், பேச்சுத்திறனை அளித்து பல்வேறு போட்டிகளை நடத்தி பங்கு பெறத் தூண்டுகிறது.
மழலை மொழி பேசும் குழந்தைகள் முதல் கணினி அறிவியல் பாடம் படிக்கும் மாணவ, மாணவியர் வரை அனைவரும் தாய்மொழியாம் தமிழில் பேசவும், எழுதவும், சிந்திக்கவும், கற்பனைத் திறனை வளர்க்கவும் உதவி புரியும் வண்ணம் பல போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
