THE INNER FEMINIST IN ME

“GENDER EQUALITY” that is what every true feminist would demand. Uplifting the females of the society, being there to that point where we can match the opposite gender in all terms. The females have proved the saying “Anything a man can do, a women can do better” as they have perfectly qualified themselves in every field they have stepped upon.

We live in a completely male dominant, male chauvinistic society. The male ego thinks that just because he is physically more stronger he can over use the “females’. This thought and concept got so strong and powerful in itself that at one point women tricked themselves into thinking that we are less capable than the males which in any term is not true. We have exceptional females in the society who believe they are not less than anybody in the world. We need more of that thinking. We need the kind of thinking which makes every woman self-stood, self-sufficient and self-satisfied, which makes her free, which makes her stronger than she already is and we the feminists are working together to inculcate that thinking in as many female minds as possible.

The woman is not given the equal freedom that she deserved, she is not given that plight that she has worked for, she is not granted that independence that she still somewhere inside deep craves for. For most women in India, the concept of marriage is the start and end to everything. First the struggle was to get the women educated, yes, now we are getting more and more woman educated but the idea behind it is still the same; Marriage in fact, for most parents now is ‘the better the education the better will be the groom’ and not that ‘the better the education the better the woman can uplift the society.

The qualities that a woman possesses are sacrifice, selfless-service, love, compassion, endurance and so one can uplift the world in wonderous ways. We need more female leaders and as feminists we are bringing out the inner power in them to lead and direct the world.

Talking more of freedom and self-sufficiency, as a child the father protects her, then her husband, then later in her old age her son is expected to . I want to know why is a male always required to be behind her. A woman in all terms can protect herself and take care of herself. She does not need a man’s approval for everything.

If something needs to be changed then the narrow mentality of the people around her constricts her from growth.

For once I would not like to be called as another feminazi trying to boil her blood on the paper craving to create a difference, but I want to be the change and live as the live example and yes I will make it very very Big in Life!
