Late Smt. Lalitha Menon was a visionary educationist whose life continues to inspire generations. She began her career as a Lecturer in Economics at Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. At a time when higher education for women was uncommon, she pursued her post-graduation in the 1950s, setting an example of determination and progressive thinking.
Life took a tragic turn when she was widowed at a very young age, left to raise three daughters on her own. Yet, she transformed her personal challenges into a powerful mission. With courage, resilience, and faith as her pillars, she founded NSN Children’s School in 1968, starting with just two students — a humble beginning made in loving memory of her husband, Late Sri. N.S.N. Menon.
Through sheer perseverance and an unshakeable belief in the Almighty, she nurtured the institution with dedication and devotion. Under her leadership, the school grew into a well-respected educational institution, known for its values, discipline, and holistic approach to learning.
Smt. Lalitha Menon was an embodiment of strength, compassion, and purpose. Every setback only strengthened her resolve. Her life stands as a shining example of the indomitable spirit of a woman who turned adversity into achievement. She firmly believed that “Success is not the absence of failure, but the will to move forward in spite of it.”
Today, the NSN Group of Schools continues to uphold her ideals and vision — providing quality education rooted in values, and empowering young minds to dream, persevere, and achieve.
"Only when you have a vision for tomorrow, you will find power and purpose in today’s work."
