“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Till your good is better and your better is best”
-St. Jerome

QUIZ- A test of knowledge, especially as a competition between individuals or teams, as a form of entertainment which can also be called a Mind Sport.

r12Having frequent quizzes and tests motivates study and reduces procrastination. It also aids in the team building process, provoking discussion, promoting group harmony and also helping build the student’s soft skills.

Quizzing also improves metacognitive monitoring- they can predict their knowledge and be more confident about what they know and what they need to know.

The members of the club were divided into three levels.

  1. Junior level- students of VI to VIII.
  2. Senior level-students of IX & X.
  3. Super seniors- students of XI & XII.

The participation in the competition in each level was highly enthusiastic and motivating.

We trained our students and sent them to various quiz competitions across Chennai.

Our students participated in the Quiz held by IIT Madras on “MATERIALS”, TCS “IT WIZ”, the biggest interschool IT QIZ, World Wild Life- India Quiz, ABK-AOTS DOSAKAI Quiz on “Japan” and Global level Sri Ramayana contest by “Srimaan Trust”. Our Students won laurels and made us proud.

r13As a part of the International School Award Project we conducted a Quiz on “Cottage Industries” for students of IX & X.

“Brainwave 2016”, the Mastermind Quiz Club Day presentation was conducted on 10th March 2016.

Our club students rendered their active participation. All the activities conducted by the Quiz Club were highlighted through different charts.

“A Power Point Presentation on the famous Quiz Masters of India was portrayed by the students of std VIII & IX.

For students of std VI and VII, a fun quiz was conducted. Games like ‘Connections’ & ‘Memory Game’ were a big hit too.

The event was a great success and our young minds were enriched with the wealth of knowledge.
